It provides a stable pressure source for the field and laboratory verification and calibration of pressure gauges, pressure transmitters, pressure switches, pressure sensors, and other pressure instruments. Rated from 0 to 40 MPa, the YH168S handheld hydraulic power source is built for field verification where a benchtop unit cannot be carried.
Unlike a benchtop pump, this handheld hydraulic power source fits into a tool case and is carried to the valve, gauge or transmitter that needs testing. Because it needs no power supply and no bench space, it suits field work where a laboratory pump cannot be taken: pressure transmitters on skids, gauges in plant rooms, and hydraulic components during commissioning and preventive maintenance. The handwheel and fine-adjust knob let one operator build pressure slowly and hold it while the reading is checked. Because the pump is used to check instruments that are themselves verified against national standards, its readings can be traced back to NIST pressure standards.
